Measuring 20" in diameter and 48" in length, materials of construction included 347 stainless steel sheet and bar, felt metal, thermal blanket, and B-seals. We fabricated multiple sheet metal details using roll forming, brake forming, and metal spinning processes, which kept tooling costs and lead times to a minimum. After laser or machine trimming, we welded the components per AWS D17.1, installed the blanket, and riveted the B-seals into place.
